The role involves a combination of remote infrastructure/application testing from my clients office in Leeds and on site network penetration testing across the UK. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to use a variety of network security testing tools and exploits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective action. The ability to exploit vulnerabilities across a variety of applications and platforms. A strong working knowledge of all popular operating systems including: Unix variants and the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems. A through practical understanding of Web application vulnerabilities as well as proven ability to explain the results of a penetration test to a non-technical client. You will also need to have strong presentation skills. A thorough understanding of current and recent security vulnerabilities and attack and willingness to travel. You will have a minimum of 2 years Full time penetration testing experience, manual penetration testing and an in-depth understanding of IP Networking in a security context, and experience of security testing of Web based applications is a key advantage.
